I'm a hands-on integration architect with 30 years of experience building software for large telecom, financial, and energy companies, helping them design APIs and SOA platforms that support their goals.
I have deep experience with platforms such as Oracle Service Bus, Spring Boot, and Java — covering the full lifecycle, from designing schemas and API/WSDL contracts to automating deployments and running performance tests.
I also use AI extensively, including building MCPs and APIs into my deliverables, to extend the value of my solutions.
Things I Did (Excluding the Boring Day-to-Day Stuff)
-
Swagger Payload Validator
Sep 2026A web/standalone application for validating API response payload against the service schema.
- Greatly expedites verification of the expected vs. actual payloads during development.
- Identifies not only hard-stop issues, but also warning signs.
- Can be run locally, inside a corporate network, to exclude the risk of PII leaks.
-
LDAP Mock Service for Load Testing
Aug 2026Large telecom's load testing was limited by the capacity of the UAT LDAP service. Created a mock LDAP service that enables PROD-volume load tests and Black Friday readiness 3X tests.
- Mock LDAP accounts are seeded as Excel spreadsheets.
- Each release can have its own set of mock accounts.
- LDAP response time and error rate are configurable from UI.
-
MCP Server for MockMotor
Jun 2026Enabled configuration of MockMotor environments, services, reactions and all other objects via MCP and API.
- The built-in MCP server provides access to all MockMotor capabilities.
- For MCP-restricted corporate environments, the API provides matching functionality.
- The implementation and security layers are shared across the UI, MCP, and API modules, reducing the attack surface.
-
Kerberos Authentication PR for Kafka
Sep 2025Bell Canada
Fixed an issue in Kafka where a Kerberos ticket renewal could fail.
- Works in Bell's PROD.
- Only a year later :) the PR got accepted for merging.
-
WSDL Change Impact Tool
Aug 2025A web/standalone application for analyzing the WSDL/XSD change impact on existing consumers.
- Identifies whether older clients violate the schema if not updated.
- Can work with multiple WSDLs sharing XSDs at once.
- Can be run locally, inside a corporate network, to exclude the risk of internal schema leaks.
-
MockMotor: Load-Test Mock Server
Jun 2017Load-Test Grade Mock Server for APIs
- WSDL, REST, GraphQL and WebSockets APIs simulation.
- Excel-seeded mock accounts.
- Multi-environment support.
- Horizontally scalable via JGroups cluster with encrypted communications.
- Local, AD or OAuth users.
-
Easy Parallel Service for Oracle OSB
Jan 2014A service for simple parallel task execution in Oracle OSB instead of cumbersome and error-prone Split-Join.
- Works around many Split-Join limitations.
- Declarative concurrency.
- Policy-based error handling.
- Built-in debug mode.
-
ESB (Oracle Service Bus, Java) Solutions Architect
2012 – Still hereBell Canada
Bell.ca ESB implementation — 200+ web services, 100+ backends.
- Architected and implemented Oracle OSB-based ESB delivering data from backends and partner platforms to Bell applications.
- Architected and implemented migration of composite services to standalone microservices (SpringBoot).
- Guided team on use of forwarding mock services to shift the delivery dates left when the backends are not ready yet.
- Supported performance team in running PROD-level load tests.
-
J2EE/SOA Consultant, Oracle BPEL
May 2011 – Feb 2012Rogers Communications
Technologies: Oracle WebLogic SOA Server, Service Bus and BPEL, JAX-WS, Ericsson TAS, SMSC, MMSC, and other provisioning platforms.
- Performed full-cycle SOA development from data schemas to WSDLs to JAX-WS web services and BPEL processes.
- Developed web service simulators to eliminate dependency on expensive provisioning test environments.
-
J2EE/SOA Lead Developer, Deployment and Automation
Jan 2010 – Mar 2011CIBC
Enterprise Customer Information System (ECIS) web services deployment automation.
